Hi my name is Choleton. Welcome to my website "choletonfitness.com".
I got involved in fitness due to a motorbike accident way back in 1991, which resulted in a 6 months hospital stay. Unfortunately I left hospital four stone underweight and minus one leg. After six weeks adapting to my new artificial leg, I decided to join a gym to put on the weight I had lost, and to increase my mobility. For some reason I was determined to be faster and stronger than the boy who went into hospital seven months ago. Maybe having a close brush with death made me think about how I had taken my health and life for granted.
Whilst rehabilitating myself I learnt a lot about the body and what it is capable of. I was surprised at the extent to which the body can adapt quickly to various training techniques. The human body is an amazing piece of kit, and you can train and mould it to do practically anything you want. What holds us back is our mind and attitude.
In my 10 years as a personal trainer I have seen clients do things they thought were impossible, whether it be a 60 year old leg pressing twice his body weight, or an overweight client losing 12 kilograms In 7 months. My clients are not superhuman or special, I just gave them the right tools, encouragement and guidance to reach their goals.
